Final Portfolio Checklist

Here's what you need to do! I'll bring an example on Monday

1. Read 5 articles

2.  Three articles must be ones that you can take a position on (and someone else could take the opposite view).

3.  For these three articles, briefly summarize and then state your opinion. Your opinion should be at least two paragraphs long.

4. The other two articles can be informational .

5. Write a summary of one of these articles. No opinion is necessary, just tell me what it’s about.

6. Write a 10 question exercise for the other article. It should include at least two different kinds of exercises, similar to what is found in our book. For example, T/F, fill in the blank, choose the correct word, answer the question, etc.

7. Have two copies of the article and the exercise, one for your portfolio and the other to give a classmate. This is the only article that you need an actual copy of.

8. Fill out the cover sheet and staple it on top of all your papers. Only include one copy of the article and exercises. 

9. Bring the other copy of the article with the exercises (see 6 above) to class on Monday, April 29^th. One of your classmates will read the article and do the exercises.

10. Bring the portfolio to class on Wednesday, May 1. Be prepared to talk about ONE of the articles, without reading. Just get up in front of the class and tell us about it. With such a big class, no one will be able to talk for very long!
